HARTS

My mother was named after the Virgin Mary. Walk in my house and this is all you'll see. My ancient mother, my love, my mum. Totally into the whole romantic cathedral feeling. Bronze, high walls, churches, candles, chandeliers, and roses to state the least. Born and raised as a Catholic but found my higher being on a more spiritual level, but can never abandon this woman. She's my mother, Maria.
Devendra is what I'll most likely name my sun child. One of my favorite psychedelic folk musicians that literally saved my life along the lines with Phoenix. Sex to my ears hitting every note that brings tingly vibrations to my finger tips. My body and soul relaxes which brings me back to a whole making me feel at one with a great release of tension. Making me feel passionate and confident for what I do, truly inspiring knowing that every little thing is going to be alright. God, too good. Totally devastating that he's retiring from the whole music aspect of it all and is focusing on visual arts as a drawer being his second job.
On that note, what soothes your soul?

Amazon Land!

Pheww. . .This week's show was AMZNG. It's funny because this whole job originally consisted of one look, yet 2 other main designers(Jerrel Scott & Mila Hermanovski) couldn't imagine why I wasn't walking or wearing their pieces. So needless to say they quickly put me in. Going from big hair to a simpler look was almost a disaster backstage. >_< But, all was forgiven when I found out I would be escorted in the finale by a HOT HOT HOTTIE!!

Only things missing were my my other halfs , jay and ven . :(

FEO ES BUENO.

(vintage fantasy coat, along with everything else.)
Vintage this, vintage that. I think we've all had enough. Who cares....
Designing has become a night time hobby for me other than watching foreign porn. It really balances my insomnia out. Being tired and designing brings you all these spectacular ideas (in my eyes atleast). The art of making something out of nothing. A lot of transparent is getting a hold of me. Just wait and you shall see.

Stay tru to yourself and flo freely.

DRAW ME IN

Up so early with hardly any sleep. Rushing out the house with no appetite. Feeling empty with no silver life around my neck and no time on my hands.

BALLONS

(I'm wearing: All thrift but too many layers to point everything out.
Devanies wearing: Velvet dress made by local designer, Jaime.)

Happy 17th to Devanie on the 5th of September.
It was the first day of another 365-day journey around the sun. Its Dev's birthday tradition to have a friend design her birthday outfit every year. Last year I designed this shredded tee for this festivity. Photo below

BORE

(American Apparel white button up, yellow vintage undershirt, mesh button up, white skins, Jordan Spi'zikes, self-made connected arm and finger safety pins)

A shoot that I've done with talented photographer, Marcus Dumouchel, mid June. These are pretty much proofs. He hasn't sent me photos of the other looks just yet due to personal issues.
I worked the shoes around this outfit but too bad the photos are in black & white. The look is very Summer-esque, a splash of color but mostly all in white.
Nothing better than running around town looking like a baller.

I'm tired, delusional and I feel like I'm rambling on and on. Yoga then bed.
Until then

Please don't invite me for dinner.

SHOW OF JOY!

MY THUGGISH RUGGISH ROLE

Nothing too serious. Jst a bit of experience for her own good. The show was held at the B Store on Melrose Thursday night. A couple friends came out to support with a couple glasses of wine.

Out of all seven looks she worked, this is probably one of my favorites. The heels reminded me of the Gee Wa Wa lobster claws.

Overall it was a crazy night, getting kicked out of bars back to back in Hollywood.

OWL HOOOOOT!

LORD OF THE FLIES

(5X grey tee, Grey Ant shades, black ban bracelets D.I.Y, vintage floral tie used as a belt)
What inspired me to get a shirt the size of whale was my time spent in Venice at school. All the "gangsters" tend to wear these oversized Pro Clubs. I can't even lie, I've had my share but never this big. I cut the sleeve off to give it more of an edge and wore this out to the Abbot Kinney festival in Venice. So appropriate, right? The sleeve I cut out has a huge hole so I can literally stick my whole hand in there with no strain, and better yet another whole body. This shirt is going to come in handy. You have no idea!

I came to realization that my most recent posts have been about school. Yes, it's going to be a stressful year with a load of schoolwork. I'm so ready though. Enrolling into schools and applying for jobs have been the story of my life lately. It's literally 100 degrees in LA and quite frankly I don't know what to do with my homework. My thought process isn't really accurate in heat apparently, and also trying to maintain eligible handwriting. FUCK MY LIFE

HOW DO YOU DO THIS!?
New technology. Not good at it.

PLEASE DON'T LET ME DOWN

I'm pretty bored right now at school. This is what I tend to do with my spare time. Just hoping the girl behind me doesn't turn around. How disappointing right?

(wind chime necklace/Etsy agate ring/randomly found rings)

I'll leave you with this.
The lyrics and the rhythm keep cycling in my head.
All I've really been listening to lately.

THE GOOD LIFE.

Needless to say this collection by Mary Katrantzou makes me want to fine dine with a dime. I'm literally at the edge of my seat right now. So dazzling, artful, but so elementary. Swaths of chiffon fluttered like curtains and hallucinatory depth of the prints mind blow. The colors she tends to use takes me back to Balenciaga Fall 2010 RTW; so refreshing and young. A pelmet created a portrait neckline above a print of a window frame; mini-crinis echoed lampshades with dangling pendants of crystal. Wall sconces were reconfigured as necklaces. "With this collection, I wanted to put the room on the woman, rather than the woman in the room," Katrantzou said after the show. I thank Katrantzou for waking up the rest of the week for me.

This is probably my favorite look over the whole collection. I'm enjoying the muted tassels that delicately pounce while walking. Its so dramatic. I'd love love love to style this on Devanie.
